Trying to uninstall then reinstall alias cannot find original. PLEASE HELP

I've had a number of issues with DW CS6. I have come to the conclusion that the program is corrupt. This is what I have tried so far:

• In my library/Applications Support/ Adobe:CS* - there is no DW folder to empty corrupt cache.

• Tried removing preferences and set back to default preferences - there is nothing for DW in the utilities folder.

• Tried the cleaner software - My Photoshop and Bridge disappeared!

• My last effort is to uninstall then re-install. I go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe/Adobe Installers click on the alias - the original cannot be found so unable to uninstall.

• I then contact adobe 24/7 chat and they tell me there is no support for this only through forums.

UGH! I just bought the program 1 1/2 year ago been using Adobe products since Photoshop 3.0 and never had this problem with support.

Can someone PLEASE help me? I need to uninstall then re-install my software. PLEASE?

Soliver481 installation assistance for Creative Suite 6 is still provided by chat support.  You are welcome to contact our support team at Contact Customer Care.

Soliver481 if I have read your description properly you have completed the following steps:

  1. Manually removed Library/Application Support/Adobe and all folders contained within
  2. Removed the preferences
  3. Ran the CC Cleaner Tool
  4. Ran the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers

Are these the steps you have previously implemented?  Also what operating system are you using?

Yes sort of

1. There was no folder for DW so could not remove anything because nothing existed

2. There was no folder for DW preferences so could not reset

3. Yes ran the cleaner then my Photoshop and Bridge completely disappeared

4. No was unable to run uninstall because the alias in the folder cannot find original so it cannot/will not uninstall

Yes these are the steps I've tried to implement. Operating System Mac OS X 10.9.5 Maverick

That's the thing. I didn't remove any files. And there are no uninstaller files on my computer. Only aliases which don't work because it cannot find the original. Is there a way I can get the uninstaller? Do you know of anything I can do?

Soliver481 the CC Cleaner Tool will attempt to remove any references from previous installations.  When you install the software a new uninstaller will be created.

If you are facing a installation error when reinstalling CS6 then please review the installation log files to determine the cause of this failure.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.  You are welcome to post any specific error messages which you discover.
