Updating CS6 - Processing Raw files and Integrating On1 Perfect Effects

I recently had to re-install a laptop with all my Photography software which is a second computer which I use when away from home.

My problems are as follows -

1. Although CS6 works it wont update with repeated error messages advising that the update site is not available at present.

2. On my main desktop computer when going file - open - and then selecting a raw file taken on my camera - Canon EOS 5D Mk111 - the canon software opens within CS6 allows me to do basic processing then opens in CS6 to allow further processing. When trying to execute this process on my laptop an error message appears advising that CS6 does not support my camera - which is obviously incorrect as it works on my desktop.

3. On1 Perfect Effects 10.5 will not open at all on the laptop.

I have removed and reinstalled all the software several times in an effort to clear any errors with no effect.

I would be grateful for any assistance.

At some point in the past (I don't know the exact date) Adobe "merged" the original update manager into the Cloud update manager, which means you are no longer using your original update manager

I have read some messages that the latest (Cloud) updater sometimes doesn't work with old programs... Try installing your updates manually

Updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
