Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 with CS6

Hi, I am planning to upgrade my system from Windows 7 Pro 64-bit to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.  I will be doing an upgrade, not a clean install.  I have CS6 Production Premium and Adobe Fireworks CS5 -- and want to know what steps I need to take in this process to hopefully guarantee a problem-free transition.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

PS:  Specifically, I would like to hear from anyone who has actually done what I am trying to do.

Well, I know this is a very late post, but fyi:  All my CS6 apps and FW CS 5 work great with my Windows 10 upgrade and I didn't have to do anything special for that to happen.

that's expected.  ie, when upgrading to a compatible os, no problem with adobe is expected.

Any other suggestions or guidance from anyone else?

My advice this time, since you evidentally didn't like the first lot: don't try to be a time traveller. Live in the past or the present, but not both. Use all old apps and old systems, or new apps and new systems. Anything else might work, but it doesn't fit with your objective of trouble free. If upgrading a system, you need a budget to upgrade all apps. This is especially true with Windows 10. Microsoft are changing it all the time and have broken CS apps more than once (CS6 won't run for most people in recent Windows 10 versions without registry changes, and it's just good luck that these were even possible).

That has worked for some, not for others

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-and/or select Run as Administrator to assign FULL Windows permissions

Nobody can guarantee things will be problem free, but I'd recommend

1. Find a strategy for working without Fireworks

2. Secure installers/disks and serial numbers for all your old software in case you want to go back. Do this BEFORE step 3 !!

3. Take out a Creative Cloud subscription

4. Uninstall all Adobe software if you really, really must do an upgrade. Adobe warn you can expect problems if you do not do a clean install, even if you uninstall everything.

5. Reinstall Creative Cloud (yes, not CS6 nor CS5).
