Using PS CS3 Extended on Windows 7?

My desktop computer is running XP and low on RAM (518?) Doubtful I can add more RAM. Am thinking of buying a new computer with factory installed Windows 7, plenty of RAM. Want to move my Adobe photoshop CS3 extended to it.  Need input and advice from others who have done this. I'm on my own, typical home user, no techies to help. Will Photoshop CS3 EXtended work on Windows 7? Answers on forum seem contradictory. Some say yes, some say no, some say yes with issues. What are the issues? Any help appreciated.

That probably is because some people have had issues and some people haven't. CS 3 probably isn't supported on an operating system that is so much newer than it was designed to run on. I believe you have until to tomorrow to get CS6 at an upgrade price, January 1 requires a new purchase. My advise splurge for the upgrade to CS6.
