To find the C runtime for your specific version of Windows...

That is a Microsoft problem, so you need a Microsoft solution
Go to the Search bar at the top of http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/ to find and re-install the C runtime, or for ALL Windows help
-or direct to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

You need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC from the link supplied in the marked as answer reply to this thread, the 32bit version download and install of the data link library will be the most likely one that you will need, even if you are using a 64bit system, however, if the app that needs the file to run was developed for a 64bit OS only then you will need the 64bit version. You can install both versions on a 64bit system as a 64bit system will run both 32bit and 64bit apps and/or programs.

Here is the link again, for your convenience.

PCGuru, I have asked for that link to be removed. It includes incredibly dangerous advice. Never download DLLs from "DLL sites". They are often illegal and can include malware. So in trying to fix a problem you get a virus.

Go to "Apps & features", filter by "C++" click the desired version choose "Modify" then "Repair".

Just want to vouch for this if anyone else is having the same problem - I went to the latest install - didn't work - tried the second latest install, then it worked. Thank you!

Do the first step as suggested by Nancy, if you still face the issue you may try downloading the vcruntime dll file from <Removed by Moderator>.

Most of the time it get resolved.
