Will installing Photoshop CC uninstall earlier versions?

Hopefully this is my last enquiry ! I have PS5 with Nik software as a plug-in. I note in the FAQ's that installing new versions of a suite will uninstall previous ones as well as their plug-ins. It does say that some may allow you to override this but doesn't specify which. If I were to opt for a trial of  Photoshop CC can anyone tell me whether it will uninstall my current PS5 and its plug-in or does this only apply to updates of the same version?
