One of my users requested a new license for Adobe software. We didn't have any licenses available, so we went through our procurement process and purchased the license. In the meantime my boss and I were spammed with request reminder emails.
Having purchased the license, I assigned it to the user who requested it. The emails continued and I found that the request hadn't gone away from the Admin Console.
The chat representative said maybe the user requested it more than once. I can't be sure which problem prevented the request form going away (I only ever saw one request) but both of these things should be guaranteed in the Admin Console:
1. If a user requests the same software out of the Creative Cloud app more than once, all such requests should fold into the same request. Or even more strictly, users shouldn't be allowed to make multiple requests for the same product.
2. If an admin assigns a user a license for a product they requested, the corresponding request should go away.
The workaround, which is what I'm going to do going forward, is to deny all such requests as "not the correct request mechanism".
Since there is no way to prevent spamming myself and my boss, the simplest solution is to just disable product requests entirely, and use company procurement processes.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

It looks like there is an "enterprise and Teams discussions" forum. I got to this forum from the wishlist page (https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html), which may have once held a form, but doesn't any more. Instead there is a link to a forum for many different Adobe products (but Enterprise and Teams is not one of them).

your post is better placed in the cc desktop ideas (not bugs) forum.

Hi, @Spencer-Simpson, The workflow is designed in a way that the user can request multiple apps from the CCD platform, and it is up to the admin if they want to assign the CC suite or single app licenses to them as many organizations also purchase Single App licenses instead of getting a whole suite.
You can change the email frequency from the settings option under the Product Request.
Here is the help document for more details: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/using/product-request.html

Hi @Spencer-Simpson Adobe employee here. Apolgies for the delay in response, I was just pointed to your post. First, we're glad to hear your users were using the license request feature - our goal was to allow users to get the products they need in Adobe apps with less friction, and to make our adminstrators' lives easier. In this case, if we haven't done that, we'll plan to make some changes. Hopefully this brief outline can help you or anyone else in this situation.
- In the email setting page linked in previous comments, you can also select "only send notifications when pending requests are expiring". This will prevet you from getting daily or weekly reminder emails and only notfiy you when this request is expiring (one email). This will also allow you to keep this feature, instead of disabling it.
- We don't allow users to request the same product/lciense twice - they can only request once and then need to wait for approval. If a user requests multiple different products, they will be consolidated into one request under their name in the Admin Console.
- Lastly, I saw in your post that you also use a seperate procurment process/system for licence requests - we're looking into integrating our request access feature with other procurement systems, so that you can manage from one place. If you get a chance, please reply with more dteail on which system you use.
Please let me know if this helps, we really appreciate your feedback!
