Adobe CC for Teams install fails with error 191

Hi,

SPRK is a reference to Adobe XD Adobe Creative Cloud Packager apps deployed without their base version present

Please try the following.

This issue occurs when a user does not have administrative permissions for installing the application package or machine environment do not meet requirements to install a UWP application.

Resolution 

Prerequisites

To install Adobe XD, your user account needs to have administrative privileges. To check or change your user account type as administrator, complete the following steps:

    Press Windows + R keys on your keyboard.
    Type netplwiz and click OK.
    Click the Users tab.
    Under Users for this computer: select the account you want to change.
    Click Properties.
    Under Group Membership tab, select Administrator as user account type.
    Click Apply and OK.

Troubleshooting

1. Enable Sideloading
Adobe XD is a UWP app which is not installed via Microsoft Store hence it needs sideloading to be enabled on the machine. To enable sideloading on your machine please try the following steps:

    Click on Windows menu on the left side bottom and select “Settings”
    Go to the “For Developers” tab
    Select the radio button for “Sideload Apps”

Note: If you are in an IT managed environment then please contact your IT team to enable sideloading on your machine.

2. Acquire Developer License

3. Unblock the app from Applocker
AppLocker helps IT managed organizations control which apps and files users can run. Please reach out to your IT team to check if they have any restrictions for UWP apps or Microsoft store apps.

4. Enable Windows Firewall
Enable windows firewall if it is disabled. Please follow the instructions in the link below

5. Reset Microsoft Store
If any issue within Microsoft store is causing the issue, then resetting it fixes the issue. Please try the steps below to reset Microsoft store

    Open Command prompt.
    Type wsreset.exe and then hit enter.
    Wait for Microsoft store to launch and then try to install Adobe XD.

6. Registry Correction
Open registry editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Appx and change value of AllowAllTrustedApps to 1
Now try to install Adobe XD.

7. Uninstall Higher or Prerelease versions of XD
Check if there is a higher or Prerelease version of XD is already installed. If yes, then uninstall it by following steps:

    Click on Windows menu icon at the left side bottom.
    Look for Adobe XD in the list of installed software.
    Right-click on Adobe XD and select uninstall.
    Now try to install Adobe XD.

8. Correct Permissions of XD related folders
Make sure your windows user has read and write access on following folders.

    C:\Windows\temp
    C:\Program Files\ WindowsApp
    C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Temp
    C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Packages

Try installing again after correction in the permissions.

9. Reset or Format Windows
