Adobe remote update manager not updating major versions

New Here ,
Dec 11, 2014 Dec 11, 2014

Hello,

seems like adobe remote update manager is not updating our CC products in our company to the 2014 versions. For example from Indesing 9.x to 10.x

Can anyone confirm this behaviour?

Updates from 9.2.1 to 9.2.2 were installed correctly in the past.

Thank you.

CC to CC 2014 is an "upgrade" rather than just an update. It's just like going from CS6 to CC and requires a full, separate install. From what I understand, there were enough changes in the applications and, in some cases, file formats so that Adobe wanted to give its customers the opportunity to run both versions in parallel. This was not widely communicated and caught many of us, particularly those of us in academic environs, a bit off guard.

Once you get CC 2014 installed, it will update normally. There was a large batch of updates to 2014 released after Adobe Max in October.

Good luck,

Ric
