Deploying CS6 via MSI created with Adobe Application Manager Enterprie Edition 3.0

Hi,

I have created an MSI using Adobe Application Manager Enterprie Edition 3.0.

If we run the msi locally it installs successfully.

However if I deploy the msi via group policy it fails to install.  It bombs out towards the end and completes an MSI roll back.  If I browse to the installation folder during installation I can see the components install but then they uninstall themselves

I have checked the PDApp.log contained in AppData\Local\Temp.  I think the section where it fails is detailed below:

10/8/2012 15:42:41 [INFO] PIM - Processing ... _pimCreateOrUpdateAAMInventory
10/8/2012 15:42:41 [INFO] PIM - Inventory Already present on the machine...

process.
10/8/2012 15:58:04 [INFO] DeploymentManager - Starting to clean the partially installed payloads.

I have also created a verbose log but I am having problems determining what's happening.  The "Return value 3" from the verbose log is below:

CustomAction CADeploy returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)

MSI (s) (60:C0) [16:34:16:381]: User policy value 'DisableRollback' is 0

MSI (s) (60:C0) [16:34:16:381]: Machine policy value 'DisableRollback' is 0

Action ended 16:34:16: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.

We use Windows Server 2003 and have Windows 7 32-bit clients.

How do I get it to install and stop the MSI rollback?

If you need some further information please let me know. I appreciate any help!

Kind regards,

Andy

Eitehr it's ordinary permissions issues such as explained here:

Errors "Exit Code: 6," "Exit Code: 7"

or, which seems to happen a lot with CS6, you need to install the MSVC 2008 and 2010 runtimes manualyl on those systems.
