How can I activate the "Beta app" in Adobe Creative Cloud?

Community Beginner ,
May 31, 2023 May 31, 2023

Hello!
The account I use is corporate so please let me know what should we change through the admin settings in order to activate "Beta app" in the categories and eventually download Photoshop Beta.

Thank you in advance,
John M.

Hi @John30156367qwo5 your Admin will need to enable via the Admin console.

You can find the details here under "Enable Install of Beta Apps"

https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/customize-creative-cloud-app.html

This is fine for package installs, but we allow our users to self install the apps from the creative cloud app so how would we allow them to see Beta versions in that case?

@kglad you need to stop telling managed users to do this without consulting their plan admins. I'd be livid as our admin if I found out users were bypassing purposely blocked aspects of CC.

@Steven30485722huv9 This is all managed in your Admin console - https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/customize-creative-cloud-app.html you need to enable the feature to allow users to access the betas and then also allow them to access releases within 30-days. Both are outlined in the link above.

@Steven30485722huv9 If you are unsure how to do this after reviewing the document, go to the support tab in your Admin console and start a chat with an Adobe support rep. They can walk you through this.

i thought @Steven30485722huv9 is an admin talking about "our users".

Correct - As an admin they have options to enable the beta apps and allow access with 30-days no need to deploy a hacked XML config file.

@kglad I would only do that AFTER you've consulted with your IT Admin. Having users bypass settings would be bad advice.
