I am trying to reinstall all of the CS6 programs from the original installer, unfortunately it fails and throws the following message "The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.". Looking more closely to the installation log file located in /private/var/log/install.log I found the following message:

Sep  8 00:32:53 MacBook-Pro.local installd[422]: ./preupgrade: AAMEE Installer : Exit code of AdobeDeploymentManager is (79)

I already tried doing a clean installation by removing every Adobe file from the system and running the installer, but it keeps failing. Is there a way to solve this problem? thanks!.

It's hard to help you unless you tell us more about your system, and what you're doing.

What computer platform? Are you installing on the same computer?

You may need to clean up your computer first to make sure all Adobe apps are cleaned off. Try this:

Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

My system is OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, I am running the original installer in the same computer that I had the installation before and I already run the Adobe Cleaner Tool, which doesn't actually find anything to clean because I already removed all the Adobe files from the system.

Hi Steve - I'm experiencing a very similar if not identical problem. I'm attempting to install CS6 Design_StdCS6.pkg I acquired from IT on my office laptop. I've already used the uninstallers to remove CC trials of Ps and Ai, and the CS6 trial of Fw. There's nothing left of these installs, and no other CS installs on the machine. Running in safe mode, I still get the same error that marcialp25750203 reports above.

One forum on another site suggested I reset the permissions in the package using a sudo command, which I did, but with no effect.
