Fireworks

Hello all, Thanks for any help in advance. I have many firworks files which are wiring diagrams with lots of small text.When I try to open them in Illustrator I get a single flattened layer. If I export from FW to Illustrator the file opens with convert legacy text option. If i click ok for change later the text is all large and out of place. If I convert I am left with empty place holders for text.Would appreciate any tips on how to export a FW file and open it in illustrator so I can alter them as needed.I have attached a simple file for testing.Many thanks

Hello, Last year I bought perpentual license of Adobe Fireworks in the service in my country and everything was working right, until my computer got corrupted and I was forced to do operating system reset (windows 10).Unfortunately, system reset uninstalled all applications including Adobe Fireworks, in result the activation was left on the deleted system. (the corruption was critical, I was not able even to run system properly in order to start fireworks and hit deactivate button)Since two months I am trying to recover it by contacting the shop in which I bought the key, but it delayed up to this day, telling the adobe support not helped my case yet.How can I recover my key? I still have the same notebook on which license was activated, but the only thing I can do it using trial version. When I enter key, there is info that key was revoked.Can someone help me?Thank you.

I get EOL, and I get not supporting an EOL product. What I don't understand is why the software I paid for, which works for the tasks I performed, has been deactivated. Fireworks is what I use for my basic image editing tasks. Sometimes you just need a Volkswagen and not a Rolls-Royce. And yes, I am a Master Collection subscriber.  I am not trying to reinstall, I am simply trying to use the tool that I paid for and installed long ago. Worked just fine 3 weeks ago, and now I am on a 30-day trial? Do better, Adobe - do you really think that repossessing software purchased from you, which is still fully functional, is a good look? To me, this is outright theft. And yeah, there are alternatives - looks like it is time to find replacements for my other Adobe products. This is a chilling precedent to set and something we ALL discussed when y'all introduced the subscription services, explaining why so many of us bought our final "bought outright" collections. 

I am 66 years old and have been woring with Macromedia Fireworks since 2009. This is the only design software I know and have purchased. I have upgraded my computer and now my fireworks is not working at all. Apparently Macromedia sold to Adobe. I have tried everything to contact Adobe with absolutely no response. How come you purchase outrightly and then the software is switched off. This is theft as far as I am concerned. Me, at the age of 66 to try and start learning a new graphics software platform is going to be really difficult. All I am asking for is what I paid for to work and nothing else. Hello all, I got a license purchased at work and a serial number but when I get a new computer I installed Fireworks CS6 and my serial number doen't work anymore. I got a suscription for creative cloud but I need this software too. Why ain't valid anymore? Thanks

I purchased Adobe Fireworks outright prior to the launch of Creative Cloud. I’m currently a paying Acrobat subscriber and would like to continue using Fireworks for legacy projects. The software is blocked from launching, despite my valid license. Can anyone assist in unlocking or validating my access?I contacted Adobe direct and they referred me to the communityThanks in advance for any help

I had a perpetual CS6 Fireworks license and I now have 26 days left to sort out the activation problem. My old laptop bricked after a BIOS update, although I do have just the drive kept. I phoned support and they couldn't do anything to help reset, despite having done so a couple of years ago when this last happened. Is there any way to solve this? I don't want to buy new software, and this does everything I need. I also have a CS4 license, but not the install file. Would that make a difference? Desperate for help, Lindsay

Hello, I paid for Fireworks CS6 and it no longer works.  It is the only software I want to use, and since I paid for it, I insist that I have it.  Please give me a way to activate the software.  My serial numbers do not work.

Hello, I am so frustrated at Adobe for stealing my property (Fireworks CS6 perpetual license) that I paid for, and denying me access to it indefinitely.  I have tried everything to get it to work.  I heard to try installing Muse but I can't find that either.  Why is Adobe such a terrible company?  Tech support was unable to help me.

I haven't used Fireworks in quite a few years, and it's frustrating because I have a lot of .FW files that I want to use from time to time. What frustrates me is that the icon is still on my computer, and I can't run it because it says I need to activate it, but it won't activate because it says I reached my limit, which is wrong.  I don't have any devices that use it right now and there is no way to remove whatever older devices are on my account. I can only assume the activation servers are no longer available, but if that's the case, they shoud've made some prevision to bypass that activation for those who paid for the product. Meanwhile, the AI Chat bot is useless and it says it doesn't see any active subscriptions on my account, which is half right.  I have about 9 paid "perptetual" licenses in my account, which is before there ever were subscriptions.

Hello! I have a working wonderful (daily use) version of Fireworks CS6 and I need a reinstall. How do I backup and protect fireworks for an Easy reinstall?I have a 1 time serial number, but it has been used the one time on this machine. Can I transfer that or use it again on new installs/builds? Where is the install file? Can I use my serial number again?I need to reinstall my horridly buggy un-updateable computer but I'm afriad to lose fireworks! I am eventually going to need to do a rebuild as well and move it again. How do I make sure its easy and safe to do. I'm holding off reinstalling to protect this working copy (windows 11). I called Adobe customer support and they said to ask here. 🙂 Refused to talk about it at all actually, it's unsupported!This program is second to none for lightweight fast PNG editing, batching and making animated gifs and spritework, creating pallets etc. Super lightweight, dosent crash obs when broadcasting etc. I have been using Fireworks since M

I have used Fireworks for years.  Last week I changed my subscription and now, when I try to open the app, I get a 'Renew Your Subscription' message.  Adobe's only answer is to check with the Community.  Help. 

Will CS5 or CS6 app function on a Mac Mini M1? Once a Fireworks installer gets downloaded, will it fail to install on my drive, even without any problems due to macOS 15.1.1?

Does anyone here have any pull with Adobe?I'm in the licence loop, I've lost Fireworks completely on my work machine, I can't even uninstall it gracefully anymore. I've managed to keep it running on my home machine which I'm remoting to from the office when I need to. I get that Adobe is killing off FW and I get they will never make it available freeware, that's just bad economics. But how cool would it be if Photoshop would simply honour the FW.PNG layers.Like Fireworks honoured PSD layers.How do we all petition to get this on the wish list?I have over 20 years of native Fireworks files. 

Hi guys, my name is Ivan and I am developing a web app www.Photopea.com . Recently, I added the support for Fireworks PNG files. You can open your Fireworks PNGs in it. You will see all original raster and vector layers. Text layers are editable. There are layer styles, too. You can save it as a PSD file (and work with it in Photoshop). The conversion is not perfect. But I think it is the only way to open Fireworks PNGs without Adobe Fireworks (e.g. if you are on Linux or iOS). Also, I believe I created the first Fireworks PNG to PSD converter 🙂 you can use Photopea for free, without any sign-in.

I miss fireworks. Why did you get rid of it? Such a silly idea. So many people love it.

This is so frustrating! I’m experiencing this now too. Thanks, Adobe for being so difficult about this. At least if you’re not supporting it and it’s no longer for sale, you could give us a way to unlock the trial for good. Those of us who’ve used Fireworks for over a decade and still need to export files out of it would be served better.   Such an easy solution available for a product they don’t even care about anymore.

I bought Fireworks CS3 many moons ago. I remember at one point being advised to download CS6 for free as CS3 was getting defunked. CS6 worked really well. Then my laptop expired, I did try to get FW up and running again on my then 'new' laptop, but failed...... now I've another laptop and I'm determined to get FW back again, nothing compares to Fireworks.   Please could someone advise the easiest way to get FW back? I've been on chat support and they've confirmed the serial number I have for FW CS3 is good to go.   Thanks for any help.... 🙂   

firework file not working

I have always used fireworks, installing it legally through creative cloud, but recently I needed to format my PC and when trying to install it, a screen appears: that Adobe Application Manager is needed to check the license, but the link to download the tool was removed by adobe, and I'm unable to use fireworks, could anyone help?
