Question

installation fails on 64 bit trial version of FrameMaker 2019

I have downloaded the trial version of FrameMaker 2019 64 bit on my laptop and can not install it. It quits with an error 183.

I have checked the system info and I am running Win 10 64 bit. I am installing the english version and in default location. Only it won't install...

Can anyone help?

Just had the similar issue my install stopped at 79% with the 183 error. I had to (in my case Win2008R2) to install the 4.7 dot net Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 (Offline Installer) for Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 Anniversary Update,… offline update.

My log had the following line pointing out the issue

FATAL: Error (Code = 183) executing in command 'RunProgramCommand' for package: 'dotNet', version:4.0.0.12

FATAL: Error occurred in install of package (Name: dotNet Version: 4.0.0.12). Error code: '183'

WARN: Program "C:\adobeTemp\ETR5B5B.tmp\1/MicrosoftDotNet/RedistributableInstaller.exe" failed with exit code: 5100
