hi there, i have this issue of my files on adobe fresco. when i try to open them, they say that they are "no longer valid PSD files" and i have to duplicate them to open it, but when i try to delete the old version, it tells me it cannot be deleted! does anyone else have this problem? what do i do??
Hello @jai28862974tdnv,
We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind trying to delete the files online (https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents) and checking if it helps?
If it does not work, kindly share a link to the file (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and a screenshot of the error message so we can investigate this further.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Anubhav

Are they conflicted versions of one file?
What I do when it happens is that I open them in Photoshop and use "save as" and save them locally as back up.
That hapens when I tweak the Fresco files in Photoshop, and Fresco cannot read back them as I used an incompatible effect or filter.
(the filename ends by "conflict")
If it something else, let us know (possibly including some screenshots)
you should be able to delete them in the CC app
or maybe use the web CC page

Imaginerie adds a good point. Did you open them in Photoshop and make any changes or have you only used Fresco to open and edit the files?

Hi there, I’ve run into similar issues with old or duplicated PSD files. Sometimes the system blocks deletion of certain files, especially if they’re corrupted or being used by another process.
One approach that helped me is to use a selective cleanup tool like BitRecover Data Wipe Software to remove stubborn files safely from the system. You can choose exactly which files to delete, so you don’t lose anything important, and it can handle multiple files at once, which is much faster than trying manually.
Also, consider backing up any attachments or assets you get via email before deleting files, just to be safe.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
