I was working on my art on Fresco. Then after I saved, part of the layers suddenly become Photoshop only so I can't draw on them anymore.
All the layers in the file were created in Fresco, there should be no problem reading them. The only thing I did may have caused this is I signed in to my account on Photoshop on my iPad after I saved the file on Fresco. But it became like that without me even opening the file in Photoshop.
This is very frustrating. Please let me know if anyone has the solution to this problem.
UPDATE: I found a weird solution to this problem.
1. I exported PSD from Fresco
2. Opened PSD in Photoshop and deleted a Brightness/contrast layer in Photoshop
3. Exported the PSD from Photoshop and reopened with Fresco
This solved my problem so if anyone has the same problem can try this. But it's still bizarre because:
1. When I did these steps via cloud it didn't do anything. Only export PSD to local worked.
2. That Brightness/contrast layer was created in Fresco. And I think usually even if it's
...I discovered if you click on your project "...", there is an option to see previous versions. Fresco appears to save a backup of all previous versions. You can choose a previous version to revert to before the Effects tool was applied (alteration of hue/saturation/etc was made), where the layers were still separate. I managed to recover my layers that way.

Besides, I've tried reverting to earlier versions but the layers remain photoshop only...
I've done cross products before, and I knew what layers not to keep in photoshop to make the file still readable in fresco, and it worked okay. This one is just out of blue tho, I've tried to delete something in Photoshop, yet it's still not readable in Fresco. While all layers were fresco layers.
i really wish the cross product performance is better, or if fresco could have more adjustment layers them I won't even need to go to photoshop. It would be so much more powerful.
Anyways if someone from Adobe sees me please help I need to work on this piece 😞 thank you.

Remains uneditable after i removed all adjustment layers and mask and only leaving normal pixel layers.......

Now I'll just be safe and always make a duplicate before I open Photoshop...

Thank you for sharing your very obscure solution — it will be helpful to others.
Many of us make incremental backups as we work, saving the file with 001, 002, 003 or the with the date, then deleting the earlier ones when we are sure it's okay to do so.
I've marked your answer "correct" and am glad you are up and running again!
