I've been having trouble with the free transform tool - it doesnt happen in all instances of use, but if I copy/paste an object, select an area of a drawing, or duplicate a drawing layer, when I try to resize or move it on the canvas with the free transform tool and I click and drag inside the transform box (not hitting any of the corner cursors) it skews/distorts the object. I can only move the object across the canvas without warping by spam clicking the nudge button, (which is a pain as it only moves the object the smallest amount)
I don't have the distort/skew etc buttons active when this happens, I am sure to click on the transform tool - yet I'm still unable to move it. Saving the document and reopening doesn't fix the issue, as the layers that have the issue continue to skew rather than move. It is only bound to certain layers or objects, one layer will transform fine but the next will skew. Is anyone else having this problem?

Came here for the same problem, it's driving me nuts! A workaround is too scale in and click move the object then, because that seems to enlarge the clickable non-distortion area. But that does not work if I want to move it a longer distance.

Hello @JJmcq, @CKLichtbilder,
Sorry for the delayed response and the trouble you're having with Transform in Fresco. Would you mind sharing more details, like the exact version of Fresco/OS installed, the device make/model, and a screen recording of the problem (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/screen-record-an-issue-on-windows-amp-macos-f...), so we can better assist you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Anubhav

Hello @defaulterzbj5r68deu,
We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter technical issues while working in Fresco. Would you mind updating to the latest version of Fresco (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html) and checking if it helps?
Also, kindly check if the display settings are set to use the default scaling and resolution for your monitor (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/view-display-settings-in-windows-37f0e05e-98a9-474c-317a...) and share your observations.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Anubhav

This occurs for me. Everything is up to date and all my setting are correct. You should do what Procreate does and let users move an object by touching and dragging anywhere on the screen when the move tool is selected instead of just within the bounds of the Inject itself.

Hi Anubhav M, I am having the same issue and I am incredibly dissapointed that this has been a bug for much longer then a year. Please suggest to your team only distorting images if the dots on the perimeters of the selection area is clicked. The selectable non distortion area is much too small. My computer is on windows 10, version 22H2, though I see this has been an on going issue for users on across multiple window versions and devices. I am on a lenovo thinkcentre M800. PS, please make it easier to upload videos if you want a screen recording.
