Gonzarella I am sorry but can you please restate your inquiry?  Are you trying to upgrade Photoshop CS5 to Photoshop CC 2014?

NO. I want to upgrade to CS7, as that is the version I already own, and

want to install it on my computer, which already has cs5. When I try, the cs7

software says it cannot find photoshop software on the computer, although I

use it all the time.

Someone at Adobe help said my version of CS7, was too old to find the

version of CS5 on my computer and I should try the forum.

You might be misnaming whatever software you are trying to deal with.  There is nothing Adobe makes called CS7 (as far as I know).  The newest (and last) creative suite they have available is CS6.

I checked. you are correct, it is 'Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Upgrade' that I want

to use to upgrade CS5 Extended
