Hi,
I can't move my illustrator window, whenever i click on top bar to move it it shows window of a programe that is underneath it on my desktop. I reinstalled illustrator but it helped for like a second and then it happened again.
I've updated my mac to ventura and I think it has sth to do with it. Anyone with similar issue?

Does "updating Ventura" mean updating to macOS Ventura 13.6.1.
Or is it about updating to macOS Sonoma.
You may find similar issues if you update to macOS Sonoma.

Sorry guys, my bad - it´s not Ventura it is Sonoma 14.1.
I have a Mac Pro 2019 with 2,5 ghz 28 Core Xeon / 256 GB Ram / AMD Radeon Pro Vega 2 w. 32GB Ram.
Illustrator, and actually all other CC Products are up to date.

Hey @Anshul_Saini ,
thanks for your support. I can say that my issue hasn´t been solved with this version. Same behaviour as in the screencap above. As soon as I combine floating windows together, something gets buggy and it simply clicks through it.
Sorry 😞

Mac Studio, Ventura 13.4.
For some reason, sometimes it stops doing it for a short time and then it does it again as I try to move the Illustrator window, it goes behind other windows.

The latest Illustrator Beta (28.2.58) still does it under Ventura so not a solution. I gather Illustrator is still not verified as working under Sonoma so won't be upgrading the OS until it is.

I understand that you're experiencing an issue where you can't move the Illustrator window on your Mac running Ventura. I appreciate your patience with this matter.
It's unfortunate that the problem persists even in the latest Illustrator Beta (28.2.58), and I understand your decision to hold off on upgrading the OS until Illustrator is verified to work seamlessly under Sonoma.
The product team is actively working on this issue, and they've logged the bug with Apple. Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with. Thank you!
Best,
Anshul Saini

As of March 17, 2024
Mac OS Ventura 13.6
Illiustrator 28.3
Photoshop 25.51
The problem is not solved, nothing changes.
A friend of mine told me that this is also happening on his Mac OS Sonoma.
This problem does not reproduce in inDesign or XD.

Did you try if updating Ventura to 13.6.5 helps?

No, I haven't tried it yet. Did you solve the problem with Ventura to 13.6.5?

I did not have the problem with 13.6.4 and 13.6.5, just saw that you were running an older version.

I see. Have you experienced this issue with versions prior to 13.3? Did you solve the problem by updating to 13.4?

Did anyone find a fix for this issue?

Unfortunately not. Both Illustrator and Photoshop have been doing this for two years now and Adobe have marked this thread as having an answer so I don't think they are actively trying to solve the issue. I'm now seriously considering jumping to Affinity as I find this issue so annoying to work with on a daily basis.

Not sure why Adobe think this problem has been rectified, nothing has changed, please respond with a fix?

I finally fixed the problem:
In Illustartor "Settings" go to "Devises" (the last on the list) and uncheck the "Enable Wacom"
You have to quit Illustrator after that for the change to be applied.
It seems to have fixed this issue for me.
