Community Beginner ,

Hi,

I can't move my illustrator window, whenever i click on top bar to move it it shows window of a programe that is underneath it on my desktop. I reinstalled illustrator but it helped for like a second and then it happened again.

I've updated my mac to ventura and I think it has sth to do with it. Anyone with similar issue?

Thanks for offering a possible solution but I also tried it and it didn't work for me – same issue persists as it has done for two years now. Two years! Or is it more? Seems like more.
Also just tried Illustrator Beta 29.3.91 and same issue persists here also. Adobe shows no sign or interest in fixing this.

Sorry for the confusion. I was trying everything and unchecking that box seemed to work. Yesterday, all day, it didn't happen a single time after unchecking Wacom, but this morning, it started all over again.

Everyone, give it a try!

  1. Uninstall Illustrator (or Photoshop)
  2. Delete the preferences file in the library (see here)
  3. Install Illustrator (or Photoshop)

This solved my problem.

It didn't work for me. I uninstalled it. Updated my mac to latest version and installed the latest Illustrator again yesterday.

It still does the same thing...just a waste of time.

The problem seems to have been an old preferences file.

Problem still persists. Now Photoshop does the same thing.

Can anyone find a solution?

Hello @leon12345ss,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind running Illustrator under a different administrator account (macOS) and under Safe Mode (macOS) and checking if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Anubhav
