For compatibility reasons we need to install AICC 2015 on Mojave. It is working on an iMac with 10.14 but I am unable to install it on a MacBook Pro Mojave 10.14.5. Is this impossible or is there a trick to make it happen?

AICC 2015 was installed on the iMac before it was upgraded to Mojave. Is that the difference? It seems to work fine.

Mojave OSX was relased on September 2018, thus AI may not work properly, do not know if it's even compatible and cannot been installed.

Some words about compatibility, if you do not wish or want to downgrade your OSX , you have to upgarde Ai.

Compatibility? When you work in e.g. Illustrator CC 2020, you can save for older versions Illustrator CC legacy or CS^or even older. What's the problem then?

Adobe support was no help and they were difficult to communicate with in the chat.  It seems there is a language barrier.  Can someone please help me find v21.1.0????

If you have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, it's right in the CC application, but a little hidden:

1) Go to the Install/upgrade option for the latest version of Illustrator, and click on the little chevron at the far right of the InStall/Upgrade button, as shown below —

2) Clicking on the Manage option in the menu lets you select other versions of the program, as shown below —

3) When you click on the Other Versions option, you have your choice of Illustrator versions all the way back to CS6, including CC (2017) 21.1.0 —

Good Luck,

Randy

I have an old license of illustrator on disc that I never installed.  I tried to install it the other day but it wouldn't complete the installation.  Is there a way for me to download and apply this license to illustrator software that will work with my current operating system?

I am a registered owner of the CS4 Design Standard Suite and I have been experiencing major issues with my CS4 Illustrator just closing down on me on my MacBook Pro Retina 2012 running High Sierra, everything works fine on my 2011 iMac Desktop running same OS? Is it possible to get a download of this version (I have searched the forum and any links to downloads are not working or state I am not authorized). Please help as I am under an extreme deadline and need to get this working on my MacBook Pro Thanks in advance!

I have Illustrator CS4 version that I want to load on my new computer.  I insert the CD and the file location pops up:

Where in the install or setup file?

Thank You

You probably want to download the installer:

Download Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) products

It might or might not work on Windows 10

See John T Smith 's recommendations on this thread. It talks to El Capitan, but principle is the same.

Troubleshooting the installation issues for non-CC versions of Adobe apps

You can check compatibility here:

https://roaringapps.com/apps?platform=osx

And Adobe's minimum specs for older versions here:

Older versions of Adobe Illustrator system requirements

This gives you an idea against which OS they have tested.

I've already bought the application but I cannot download it... Whenever I try to download it, It displays the message : "This computer does not meet the minimum system requirements for Illustrator. Please refer to the system requirements in the Help documentation for a full list of hardware and software requirements for Illustrator" Although, I have checked my current mac version, which is Sierra (10.12) and it should meet the system requirements including my RAM...

These are the requirements for mac. Which model/year computer do you own?

macOS

  • Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
  • macOS version 10.12 (Sierra), Mac OS X version 10.11 (El Capitan), or Mac OS X version 10.10 (Yosemite)
  • 2 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended)
  • 2 GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
  • 1024 x 768 display (1280 x 800 recommended)
  • Optional: To use GPU Performance: Your Mac should have a minimum of 1 GB of VRAM (2 GB recommended), and your computer must support OpenGL version 4.0 or greater.
    • To check for VRAM values: Choose Mac > About This Mac (Graphics information).
    • To find out if your computer supports the required OpenGL version (4.0 or later), see this Apple Support document.
  • Internet connection and registration are necessary for required software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to online services.*
