Illustrator not working on iPad.

New Here ,
Feb 03, 2023 Feb 03, 2023

I recently got illustrator with the student bundle, and wanted to use it on my iPad. So app downloads fine, I open it sign in with Google and it brings me back to the sign in screen and freezes. All of a sudden it closed, I reopened it and I'm signed in but the Home Screen is incomplete, it's missing a lot and is again frozen with no buttons working. I redownloaded it, did the same thing. I updated to the latest iOS, same thing. I redownloaded it on the new iOS version, same thing. Not sure what else I can do to fix it. I attached the screen that keeps showing up.C556614A-387A-4802-8A0A-B748E9D61137.png

I does seem like signing in from google was the issue, still don't understand it but other forms of login credentials worked. Thanks Bobby.

Usually if my iPad Pro winds up signed out of my CC applications there will be a list of sign-in choices when an application like Adobe Illustrator is launched. I always pick the choice "Sign In Using Adobe ID" rather than the other options (such as Google). I've never tried signing in via Google, so I'm not sure how that even works.

Please see this:

Can you sign out via the Creative Cloud app? And then sign in again using your email as Bobby wrote.

Hi @Kỳ Khương28906438i8pe,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with Illustrator on your iPad. I'm unable to find your subscription information with the email address that you have provided on the community. However, I would be happy to assist you in resolving the issue to the best of my abilities.

Can you confirm the email address that you have used to sign in to your Adobe account?  Additionally, please let me know the iPad model and operating system version that you're using, as well as the version of Illustrator installed on your iPad.

Also, have you tried logging in to Illustrator using a Google, Facebook, or Apple account? Sometimes, this can help resolve login issues.

Finally, have you tried connecting to a different internet connection? This may also help resolve the issue. Let me know how it goes.

I will be looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anshul Saini

I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, and logging in again. Tried restarting my iPad. Still having the issue.

Steps to reproduce: Start app -> login screen -> Continue with Adobe ID -> enter school email address -> redirected to federated login page -> follow login process -> back to the login screen -> screen is now unresponsive, none of the login buttons work -> minimize or force close app -> Once you reopen you see the same screen posted by Lucas28252086m6az above.

Hi @nefeli36062578lddh,

If you're experiencing the same issue with Illustrator freezing on your iPad, I recommend trying the following steps:

  1. Reinstall the Illustrator app on your iPad.
  2. When logging in, try using either the Apple or Google sign-in option instead of the other one you previously used.

If the problem continues, please let us know, and we'll explore other troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

Experiencing the same issue, but with my university email. After signing-in, it just freezes in the empty and incomplete home screen. Buttons are not clickable too and nothing's working even if I wait. Already repeated the process of redownloading and updating it multiple times, but it is still the same with my university email. Although signing-in using google worked, I still need to use my university email in order to maximize the subscription. Hoping for solutions asap. 😞
