Hi dear community,

I want to add text symbols such as "⚘" to my project, unfortunately InDesign does not want to accept these formats and gives me back a crossed square..

Any methods to add text symbols to your project? It would be a big help.

Kindly,

Vito

You need to find a font, which includes that glyphs.

Install that font.

Create a Charakter Style with tis font.

Insert those symbols via Type > Glyph Panel (check if the correct font is selected) and apply the character style.

You must use a font that has the glyphs you want to use.

This might help: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201749

That aside, the font in your screen capture aooears to be a "Type 1" postscript font. Adobe is ending support foir this type of font and you sghould look for a similar font in eihter TrueType or OpenType format.

This version from Google Fonts mihgt be a better choice: https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Sans+Linear+B
