Annoying Scrolling in InDesign

Hi,

While I am scrolling in InDesign, the mouse or trackpad scrolls right or left, too. Because of the issue, the document is not fixed on the screen and moves right or left while scrolling.

I can't find how to stop this annoying scrolling on my mouse or trackpad settings. Is there any way to fix the document on the screen instead of seeing many dark grey backgrounds around my document?

Thanks,

The grey background around your document is called pasteboard. You can change it's size by setting the relevant options in the preferencex. See the screenshot below

Now regarding the scrolling, isn't that how the scrolling is supposed to work. I mean you need to be precise with your trackpad gesture to scroll only in a single direction. Generally we make a gesture that make a motion in both directions and do see the behaviour you notice.

P.S.:- I tried the scrolling and it seems to be working fine for me, but I have experienced what you are alluding to.
