Can "Print Booklet" bind from the top (for a calendar) instead of just the left?

I designed a calendar with each page being landscape 8.5x11.  Printing as 11x17 signatures would mean I would need to use the Print Booklet function to bind from the top instead of from the left.  I do not see any option for doing this, is this an option somewhere?

Print Booklet is limited to binding on the side, not from the top.

Here's what I do for calendar proofs, export to PDF. Then create a new 28 page document, facing pages, 8.5 x 11 tall, image frame on master pages that is rotated 90°, and then place PDF into this proofing document. You most likely will need to rotate the back cover so it creates a head-to-head spread with the front cover.

You can rotate the page view by selecting all of the pages in the Pages panel, and from the flyout menu Page Attributes>Rotate Spread View>90CW. Design to the rotated view and Print Booklet could work:

I had planned on doing that as a backup but I was just hoping there was a "proper" way of doing it without having to create new files or to set things up again differently.  I guess thats not an option just yet...thanks!
