Convert numbering to text: how to do it only in a specific paragraph style?

The document has more numbered paragraph styles, but this conversion is necessary in just one style; and selecting the whole document will alter other styles that should preserve the automatic numbering.

Thanks.

Correct answer Obi-wan Kenobi

Obi, please, be kind. I am lost.

But one method to convert numbers to text in automatic numbered paragraphs is using

You say that in para styles it can be done?

In that menu the only visible and related option is apply numbering, not converting to text...

I am missing something?

Can't you just modify the style sheet for that particular paragraph?

I do not get your point.

If I change the style sheet I will lose the paragraph numbering...

The idea is convert to text this attribute only in one specific paragraph, not in all, as ID uses to do.

Thanks.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Your original post states you want to convert one style, not one paragraph.

Hi,

Use the way you do it for all paraStyles and set a condition.

Jarek,

I am sure this is the right reply but could you explain a little more?

I am afraid you are proposing write a little script as the known ID mechanism to do this is by f/change selecting the whole story, and conditional text is not part of this menu?

Thanks!
