Hi all,
I have new Macbook Pro and need to transfer my InDesign workspace from old Windows PC.
Could you please help with how to do that? I tried exporting my workspace from PC and importing it to Macbook, but when I tried to import it into the Macbook it gave the following error:

How exactly are you trying to do this? TBH, I've never tried it cross-platform.

In InDesign there is no option to "export" workspace settings.
https://creativepro.com/rebuilding-indesign-preferences/
[Mac OS] Mac/Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version [number]/en_US/Workspaces
[Win 10] Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version [number]\en_US\Workspaces

You can do this since 19.3 via File > User Settings > Export User Settings, I think that's what OP is using:

But this way - it's all-in-on file - right:
Going to the folder - you can copy just a single file - left.

Yes, it's a single file... Judging by the file name OP quoted - IDSettings_19_3_enUS... - it appears that she used the Export Settings option.

Wokspaces are xml files, so you just have to copy these files from your PC to your Mac.
On a Mac, custom workspaces are stored in this folder: /Users/[user_name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version 19.0/fr_FR*/Workspaces
* this name changes according to thr langugage version of InDesign.
On Windows, I don't know but I am sure that you will get the answer.

Hello,
copying the files from Win to MC as advised above worked !
On Win it is located here > C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version 19.0\en_US\Workspaces
Thank you so much !

There's a new feature in InDesign to export and inport User Settings – not sure if it works cross platform.
