Deleted text in Indesign and visible in exported file

I deleted text in an Indesign-file and exported my final document as a PDF.

I can’t see the deleted text in the Indesign file. That’s how it should be.
But in the PDF it is visible in the background as a marker. As an RTF or a WORD-file,
deleted text is readable again. How can that be?

Check the modification/creation date and time on the PDF to make sure you have the latest one.

Are you working with multiple layers?

  1. Version?
  2. OS?
  3. Where was the text? On the master/parent or on the page itself?
  4. Has it been on the master/parent, but was overwritten?

Mac OS Monterey Version 12.4 / Indesign 17.3

The text was on the page itselfThere are no master pages in this document.
It is a newly created file, but with text copied from a 2016 file. It’s about my cv (curriculum vitae),
which I updated in the newindesign file.
