Deleting Soft Hyphens U+00AD from a PDF File

Is it possible to delete the Unicode U+00AD from a PDF File?

The reason is we compare Text files with a software that reads and compares the Unicode. all the soft Hyphens give unnecessary errors in the Software we try to avoid.

So it is possible to maybe convert and reconvert the file so that there are no soft Hyphens?

Another solution would be to do something in the creation Process of the pdf , in the stage of InDesign. Is there a special way to save the PDF so that we have no soft Hyphens but the other Unicode Information is kept?

Thank you in advance

Cheers

Turn off hyphenation, delete hyphen with find & replace.

This should be easily done in InDesign, but is very difficult (to not possible) to do once the file has been converted to a PDF. Alternatively, you can do it after you export the file's contents as text. That should also be very easy, with a simple Search & Replace command.

Thank you for that.
