Different installed font styles not recognized

Community Beginner ,

I am working with a font that has three different styles (Regular, outline, slant, and outline slant). I have all four styles installed, however, only one at a time is recognized in InDesign. If I try to install the other styles, it's as if they override the original, and then InDesign flags it as missing. Attached are screenshots - when installing a new style, I'm prompted in the Fontbook that a version of this font is already installed, but even if I choose "keep both", InDesign still seems to think it's been replaced.

Any tips or insights would be welcomed! This is an issue only with this particular font.

I believe I found the solution - I was able to "activate" the different styles in the Fontbook, and now it seems to work!

Does the font work the same or differently in other Adobe applications — for example, Illustrator or Photoshop?
