Exporting for Google Ads under 150 KB

Hello everyone! So I am designing ad sets in the following sizes:
789x90
300x600
250x250
236x280
160x600
Google Ads only accept under 150 KB. My problem is, is that 1. I can't get any of the larger ad sets (789x90, 300x600) to export under 150 KB and on top of that, none of my files are saving at those dimensions. All of the dimensions once saved as a JPG are all over the place. I am unsure as to how to proceed. Can anyone tell me what to do?

    Hi @Joanna244250735qth ,

    would Google Ads accept SVG files?

     

    Depending on your contents, vector graphics, text, you could try the following workflow:

    [1] Export to PDF

    [2] Open the PDF in Acrobat Pro and convert all texts to outlines:

    [3] Save the PDF to a new name

    [4] Open the PDF in Adobe Illustrator

    [5] Save to SVG

    More details, if you approve the file type.

     

    The workaround Mike recommed is a very good one!

     

    Export to PDF from InDesign.

    Open the PDF in PhotoShop as Smart Object.

    Export to Web (Legacy) where you can determine every aspect of the exported file.

    JPEG or PNG, pixel dimension, file size, quality.

    Unfortunately, Google will only accept GIF, JPG or PNG. I can't seem to get any of them down below 150 KB though directly from Indesign or Photoshop, and it changes my sizing once it has been exported.

      Could you post a sample PDF file exported from InDesign?

      And of course the target size in pixels. I bet there is a way doing this with PhotoShop…

        If you want to do this in InDesign, be sure to right click the ruler and set it to pixels or points. BTW, InDesign tends to assume 72 pixels to1inch on export.

        Why not open your ad in Photoshop and then Export to Save for Web where you can set the correct pixel count and also decide whether to save it out as a PNG 24 or PNG 8 or a JPG at a certain amount of compression? The interface will tell you in advance the file size weight in kb.
