File>Save As or File>Export to PDF is not showing window to save.

UGH, I'm in need of InDesign help. I'm trying to export my file, File>Export to PDF (literally all variations of this I can find, even trying to just package it), but the window dialog isn't opening up. I can't even do a Save As... I need to export with bleed+marks so sharing online then downloading the PDF there doesn't work. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm working on a Mac and already tried restarting the computer. 

 

It also doesn't freeze or anything, just sort of does nothing when I try to export the PDF.

seems to be a known bug on new Macs with an external monitor connected.

    I have the same problem and i have an Imac (dec 2020, Monterey 12.1 27 inch, 3.3 ghz 6 core, 8 mb memory, amd radeon). No external monitor. Sometimes after making corrections save and save as or make pdf dont work. Only option is to restart Indesign and start again. besides the disappearing text while working this is the second major frustration. Anyone else?
