hello everyone , i have indesign dcoment containg 600 pages book, for body text i use 10pt arial font size in whole document , but in many pages font size is not same in many places due to copy paste from word, some places font is 9.5 somewhere 9.6 somewhere 9 like that , its very hard to check one by one line and change manually to 10 pt , is there any way to do this task automatically , i know find and replace only search exact point size , its very hard to search manully like 7 pt , 7.8 pt , how to do that smartly . Thanks in advance for your time.

Correct answer Robert Kyle

Are there cases where you want Arial  in something other than 10 pt.? If not, you can use find/change to find all text using Arial and change it to Arial, 10 pt.

Better yet, find Arial and change it to your new paragraph style using Arial at 10 pt.

  1. Work with Paragrpah styles. Correct them.
  2. Check if Character Styles are applied. If so, remove or correct them.
  3. Remove all manual overrides. The fastest way to do it: Scripts > Community Scripts > Remove Style Overrides.

Set up the styles you want. Apply them to the text. Don't try to fix this directly on the text.

Hi @rehana36276218, is the text in a paragraph style? Is it in a single story? - Mark
