Help, the footnotes are missing when I export to IDML format (CC v13.1 to IDML and open with Indesign CC2015). Do I have to select an option to get them?

Hi,

there is no build-in function to change endnotes to footnotes with InDesign.

But you might use a script for doing this. Please run the script on a duplicate of your document!

Here an overview what you can do with endnotes and footnotes using Peter Kahrel's scripts:

Hi info-cen ,

are you sure it's the footnotes, that missing? Footnotes should be transferable via IDML to InDesign CC 2015.

I would not be surprised if the endnotes are missing, because endnotes were introduced with InDesign CC 2018.

So the IDML import for CC 2015 will ignore them.

And if really the footnotes are missing:
Could you post a sample, CC 2018 document file, IDML file plus the result after opening the IDML with CC 2015 zipped and uploaded to a service like Dropbox.

Uwe
