I want to only include the section outlined in red for PDF export, is there a way I can exclude the rest?

I know nothing about ARC GIS and have been thrown in to assist with this project, thank you for any advise!

Then, when you place your map in InDesign - exported as PDF - and crop it more, to show only what you want - you should check "Crop Image Data to Frames option" in PDF Export dialog - to make the final PDF smaller.

Hi @VeraLeaderPhotography:

You posted your question on the Adobe InDesign forum and we can't help with a third-party product.

Here is a link to the support page for ArcGIS Online: https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-online/resources. They should be able to give you a hand.

I can't see where this has anything to do with InDesign or Adobe Acrobat. If you're using a third-party PDF tool, especially one optimized for GIS work or the like, you're best off asking in a support forum for that product.

(PDF is not a generic standard and the tools that use it vary considerably. Hazy guesses here won't help you much.)
