How do I export Indesign files with QR codes to PDF files that contain the hyperlink in the PDF file

Hi Community,

How do I export Indesign files with QR codes to PDF files that not only display the QR code, but also contain the hyperlink in the PDF file? For brochures published online, readers should be directed to further topics by clicking on the hyperlink and not by scanning a QR code.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks, Antonija

You can make a QR code as a clickable hyperlink - so it would be 2in1 - clickable QR code.

It works - thank you so much!

QR codes are, in the end, just a graphic. Attaching a link to them should be simple. (I'm always amused when there's an aura of "ooh, this is too technomagical for me to mess with." 🙂 I blame the marketing from code services...)

While doing both might seem... obvious, or 'suspenders and belt,' I can't quite think of many situations where being able to click through and scan through the link would be useful. :-}
