Question

How do you adjust stroke gaps in the new indesign?

Hi,

I am new to the latest CC version of ID and I cannot seem to find the menu to adjust the size of gaps within a stroke. I'm trying to make a grid paper pattern for a notes page and want the stroke dots to be a certain distance from each other. Where in my settings can I find this? I'm confused as to why I cannot adjust the stroke and gap lengths.

Thanks!

I'm assuming you are selecting one of the "pre-fab" styles.

Go to the panels menu and select Stroke Styles.

Click the "New" button.

Select your type of stroke and adjust the settings as desired.

Thank you! I was able to do that. What is the cleanest way to offset lines in equal intervals in indesign? In illustrator I use the blend tool but I was unsure if Indesign has a different way of performing this straight in Indesign.

In either program, I would use either the Transform Again menu--or the Align panel using the distibute options.
