Hi! Can't find an option to align a picture in a table cell. Aligning it to the page is working but then I can't see the image. I would like to align it to the table cell.

Hi BebiVerso,
So you are working with graphic cells where you placed an image with a white background and the portion of the image that you are interested in is just a part of the placed image.
If the part of the image you are interested in is not in the center of the placed image:
There is no automatic way to center it to the bounds of the graphic frame.
If the part of the image that you are interested in is itself centered in the image:
Use a menu command to center the image to the graphic

Hi BebiVerso,
how did you place the image to the table cell?
Is it anchored to text or do you use a graphic cell?
What's your version of InDesign?

Hi Uwe!
Tried both.Verson 15.0.2
Trying to drag it to the centre, but it only shows the centre of the page, not the cell.

Oh. And best show a sample screenshot of the situation. Edges showing, invisible characters showing.
Hm. And it's not clear where you want to align your image to. Some of the edges of a cell? Andother image in another cell? Something else?

Select the graphic frame in the cell. Not the image itself.
Object > Fit > Center Contents
If you selected the image in its container, press Esc to select the container.
If you selected the whole cell, press Shift + Esc to select the container of the image.

Yes, there is an icon for this.
But its also good to know the menu command itself because of the keyboard shortcut ( KBSC ) that comes along with it.
That KBSC could be different depending on the localized version of InDesign. And depending on the set of KBSCs one could have customized.
