How to Combine Excel Data with Pictures in InDesign

I have a question about making a total file using Indesign and Excel. We make offers in Indesign in combination with an excelsheet. In the excelsheet is the information which we needed in Indeisgn including a link to the picture we want to include in the indesign file. Since a few months we can't combine including the pictures. Does someone know if there is a problem with Indesign, maybe an update? That it doesn't work anymore?

The problem is only with the pictures, the text we get without any problems vissable in Indesign.

I hope there is someone here who can help me.

Unfortunately, both options don't work. I've already downgraded to version 19.3 and also looked at the importing part but it's not in there to solve the problem.

I was refering to the change in how POSIX paths are handled.

Can you post a screenshot of how your paths are defined in your "database"?

Hi @nikki_1982, first can we check whether the import options have changed and you haven't looked at them since, because that can trip me up sometimes...

When placing the excel file, choose "Show Options" and you will see this dialog:

Make sure "Include Inline Graphics" is selected.

If that isn't the problem, let us know.

Dear @m1b,

I'm sorry but I can't find that window in Indesign. I'm using version 19.5. Please can you tell me how I can find it?

I only can find this window:

Thank you!

I mean when you choose Place... and you are navigating the file system looking for the file to place. On MacOS it looks like this:

(This may be nothing to do with your problem, but it's a first step.)
