How to import indesign tables into different indesign file

Hi,
I created my tables in a different InDesign file, but when I copy and paste them into another file's text frame, they act a bit weird. They don’t respect the spacing before and after from the text frames.

I wanted to check if there’s a correct way to do this.

More Context.

As you can see, when I paste the table inside the frame, it doesn’t respect the H3’s space after. For some reason, it also adds an extra line between the H2 and the table. When I remove that line, my H2 suddenly changes its style. I hope this provides more clarity.

Are those settings identical in the h3 and h2 styles in both documents?

@leo.r However, I am not pasting the H2, just the table. Does this make sense, or am I misunderstanding something?

Then what is "H2" you're referring to? I thought it's the name of the applied paragraph style.

@leo.r

Let me explain with more details. I have two InDesign files: one for my book and the other for the tables, which I will add into my book. The book file is laid out with all the styling. When I copy the table into the book file, it creates a way too large gap between the already existing H2 text.

Now, when I click delete to reduce the space between the table and the H2, the H2 suddenly changes to a different style. However, it keeps all of its styling. Basically, in the Properties panel, it shows "Body" instead of H2 now. I hope this explanation makes more sense.
