How to make the front and back text boxes appear in order of position when extracting a directory?
Now they are often misaligned.
My solution is to connect them together, but sometimes there are many, which can be very troublesome.
Is there a better solution
Also, why is the number 4 white here, and how does my Content automatically clear priority character styles?

Hi @dublove, are you generating a TOC?

What is TOC? I want to create a directory, I'm just giving an example.
I often encounter problems when making catalogs

What I'm talking about is the order of the extracted directories in two scattered text boxes. How can they match the order of the article?

Your terminology makes no sense: what are 'extracted directories'?

If you still mean a TOC that you generate from the Layout menu: that you have to put in a pre-drawn text frame or drag it out as new Text Frame.

But honestly, follow some lessons, online training etc. on how to use the basics of InDesign because you are missing fundamental knowledge and terminology of the basics...
