I started my Mac yesterday after a 2 week vacation, and one of the first things that happened was that ID v2025 was installed. Without my doing. I uninstalled it because I want to keep working with v2024 for the time being. Today, the same... I double clicked a Indesign file, and it opened in ID 2025 – the new version had been installed AGAIN in the background, without me initiating it or even knowing it...
Where can I stop this behaviour?

Hi @PierreDaniel,
Thanks for reaching out! It sounds frustrating to have InDesign update without your intent. To prevent automatic updates, you can manage these settings in the Creative Cloud app:
1. Open the Creative Cloud desktop app.
2. Go to Account icon (top right) > Preferences.
3. Select 'Apps' from the left sidebar.
4. Under 'Auto-update', toggle off the automatic updates for InDesign or any other apps.
This should help keep your preferred version until you’re ready to upgrade. Let us know if you need any more assistance with this setting!
Thanks,
Abhishek Rao

Thanks so much, that helped! I have no idea how this button was toggled in the first place, I certainly did not do it, never saw that before.

Hi @PierreDaniel,
I’m glad to hear that the solution worked for you! It can be surprising how settings can change unexpectedly sometimes. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.
Happy designing!
Best,
Abhishek Rao
