How to Revert to Single Pages in InDesign when Pages Thumbnail Layout has Changed

Hello,

I made this document last year - 112pages. Worked through it got it ready to send off. Done. I went back in - and "somehow" the page view changed to this (see attachment). I don't know why? or how it happened. And I want it to be turned back to single pages as it was originally intended?. Any help? What is this?

indesign 19.5

on a sonoma 14.6.1

I may not be understanding your question correctly, but your screenshot shows single-page views of four alternate layouts. If you go to the Pages panel flyout menu, choose "View Pages" and change the selection from "By alternate layout" to either "Vertical" or "Horizontal," perhaps that will give you what you're looking for.

If you want the pages to appear in the pages panel in one row, select from the pages side menu: View Pages > Vertically

You mean "one column"?

Change the page and spread display

Point 4, 2nd bullet:

Select Show Vertically to display spreads in one vertical column. Deselect this option to allow spreads to be displayed side-by-side.
