In-Design 2023 UI issue - Mouse too Big (2nd screen Dell UHD 27 inch)

Dear all,

I request you help because I have an issue with InDesign 2023. Indeed the User Interface (especially the mouse) is enlarged on my second screen (Dell UHD 27" 2560x1440px). The resolution of this 2nd screen is lower than my Dell Laptop (3840x2400px), therefore I understand that the interface could be enlarged, but on this case it's mainly the Tools (Black/White Mouse, etc.) of InDesign that have a UI issue. I've already tried to re install the software several times, played with the UI scale mouse preferences in the software and check with the display resolution settings, but none of them changes anything.

Besides, this issue is only appearing in InDesign, all other Adobe apps are working fine.

Does anyone have an idea or is it something that Adobe already know and are fixing ?
Thank you in advance for your answers and help.

Best Regards,

Patrick

Hi @Patrick Strebel,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry to hear you are experiencing a Ui issue with the mouse.

I assume on your main laptop screen, the cursor is fine. It's behaving weirdly on the external monitors, Right?

Please check the below settings and see if that helps.

Could you please also try changing the Display Setting of your extended monitor to Default? In Scale and Layout, please keep it to 100% and Display Resolution to 1080 or 4k, depending upon your external monitor.

Let us know if that helps. We'll try our best to investigate and assist you.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hey Patrick,

I understand the frustration you're experiencing with the InDesign 2023 UI issue. It's not uncommon for software quirks to disrupt our workflow, and it can be quite a puzzle to solve. While I may not have an immediate solution for your problem, I'd recommend reaching out to Adobe's support team, as it appears to be an InDesign-specific issue.

On a related note, if you're using InDesign for graphic design, having the right hardware and accessories can make a significant difference. You might want to consider checking out MCC Computer Center (https://mcc-jo.com/), where they offer a comprehensive range of laptops and accessories. They could have the perfect solution for your graphic design needs, ensuring your tools align with your design projects seamlessly.

I hope this UI issue gets resolved soon so you can get back to your design work smoothly!
