indd files show numbers in book?

Hi, I have dozens of files in the book. Is it possible for me to see their files number? If that's not possible do you know of a script that returns the number of files in a book?

I wish the book had a file number column feature..

    I would add the file number as part of the name of the ID file.

    hi @Mike Witherell thanks...  but... The order of my files changes in each book. I can't give a number as I got it from a shared repository.
