InDesign page bleed lines and interior margin lines disappeared

Probably accidently hit a key and looking to fix. Problem is file specific, other documents not affected.

  • The pasteboard, where I place photos that I'm planning to move in a bit, has gone all gray leaving no images behind.
  • The bleed lines around the outsides of the pages is no longer visible.
  • The outlines inside the pages that define the margins have also disappeared.

After visiting Help in InDesign, I went to Preference, Guides and pasteboard; View and View, Extra specifically; tried Grid lines etc., but nothing I've selected affects changes.

Just to to check it's not this, try: View > Screen Mode > Normal / Preview (shortcut, with nothing selected press w – toggles bewteen Normal and Preview modes.

Just go to view > Grids & Guides >Show Guides

Hi, I set the bleed lines but the red lines are not showing up.

If I change the screen mode to bleed, it shows the bleed area but that's not what I'm looking for. I need to have red lines shown. How to fix this?

Thanks, Derek, that's done it. Just had to find a two places where I selected show grid lines to get rid of them and now I'm back to normal. What a relief.
