Indesign "On Click" animation

Is it possible to have a button to stay a different color once clicked, and disappear once clicked to another button. Currently messing with the appearance panel in the button and forms tab.

Not sure if it matters, but I'm using each button to trigger a state in a multi-state.

I concur with Uwe. Put the buttons in the states that way you can control everything.

I am having a similar issue and don't fully understand the solution proposed.  I created 5 buttons for a star rating using InDesign, but I cannot seem to get the "clicked" state to remain after being clicked it returns to normal.  I read in another post that I should duplicate all of the buttons and reverse the Show/Hide properties to mimic that effect.  I can do that, but there are so many buttons, that I was looking for a shortcut to change all at once.  Is there a button styles I can apply?

You may find you have issues with some devices.

I don't know if I made myself clear enough. All buttons are staying on the page, I just want the appearance to change with a color/image once clicked. And have the color disappear once clicked on a separate button. I feel like it's simple enough and not sure what you mean by the vague comment of "you may have some issues"

Don't know how that helps or answers the question
