Issue with Text Frame Copy-Paste in Adobe InDesign 19.2 for Mac: Text Misalignment and Lost Content

Upon pasting the copied text frame into the new document, I immediately notice a misalignment in the text positioning within the frame. Specifically, the text shifts its position inside the frame, leading to an unexpected display of the bounding box icon. This shift results in the partial or complete loss of the last line of text in each frame, which significantly disrupts the layout and requires manual adjustment to recover the lost content.

In addition to the styles being based on astyle with a differnt definiition (typically Basic Paragraph, as Joel mentioned) your shifting is probably due to a difference in the baseline grid setup between the two files or possibly a difference in the baseline options set in the text frame options, though I think this is less likely with a pasted frame.

There could be a very wide variety of possible causes. I'll point out a few, but I think you might be best served if you can provide an example file - an INDD that contains a text frame that we can copy and paste into a fresh document, and so reproduce the behavior independently. 

That being said, there are a few likely culprits. If you've based a paragraph style in your source document on "[Basic Paragraph Style]", then the new blank document might have a different definition of that Basic Paragraph Style. Similarly, there might be a difference in Object Styles - when you draw a new text frame, it automatically is assigned the Basic Text Frame style, and that might have e.g. some inset applied to the frame. So the Paragraph Styles panel or the Object Styles panel, those are the first places I'd look. 

But I think that a sample document, or at least a screenshot or two, might be a faster way to solve your issue than just listing likely possibilities.
