Language setting doesn't change (character panel)

I'm trying to change language but it never changes.

How can I change this?

    Are you selecting text when you choose a language? This feature only changes the language dictionary that is applied to text for spelling, hyphenation, and so on.

      yes I selected text but it never changes. or just change into default language

      Hi Minyoung,

      Sorry to hear about this issue. I would request if you can try resetting preferences: Set preferences in Adobe InDesign and let us know if that helps. Resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

      Hi Srishti,

      I tried restoring settings( Shift+Option+Command+Control) but it didn't help

      Also, when I try to change language into newly added file(한국어(대한민국)), it returns to default language.

      (I'd like to change 한국어 into 한국어(대한민국), but it never changes)

      Does it change for the selected text, but then it changes back for other text?

      Are you trying to change it for all text?
