moving between text with arrows

Good morning,

It's a problem I had since this summer, but sometimes it works and other not and i can't understand why.

Basicly when I work with text in InDesign, usually I use the keyboard arrows, ctrl+arrows and shortcuts like this to move faster.

The problem is that sometimes ctrl+arrows to "move from word to word" instead of single letter doesn't work

Anyone had the same issue?

thx in advice

Best regards! !

Here, running CC2019 (14.0.1) in Windows 7, Ctrl+[arrow] moves the cursor word-to-word within a table cell, but won't move the cursor (at all) from cell to cell.

Is that different from what you see, and and can you confirm it was ever different in previous versions?

Just tested and Cmd+arrow does NOT move from cell to cell in CC2018 but it DOES move word-to-word in a table cell. So this "not moving word-to-word" in a table cell is a new issue with CC2019 as reported Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Right Arrow / Left Arrow in tables – Adobe InDesign Feedback

Per John Mensinger's post above, I guess this is a Mac only issue?

Just noticed

This happens when i try to use ctrl+arrows in a table! It still works ctrl+shift+arrows to select the entire word, but why can't I move with ctrl+arrows in a table?!

I'm having the same issue, also just in tables (since the upgrade to CC2019).

Tagging along so I can be notified if an answer is given.

That doesn't sound new to me. On a Mac, Cmd + Right  Arrow is defined to move word by word to the right:

Had you edited your keyboard shortcuts in a previous version of InDesign?
